Hablemos de ellos

Let´s talk men

We´re always talking about what women wear, but following the wedding I went to the other day, it occurred to me that this time we could talk about the way men dress for formal parties.

I believe that when it comes to clothes, we women, have tones of alternatives. We can choose between long or short dresses, bodycon, tunics, different cut lines, and even different styles such as hippie, femme fatal, lady-like, and more. Men choices, however, are reduced to the classic suit, and although we know there are more than one kind, we can only see them in subtle differences. What really brings character to the male outfit are accessories, and in this field, they do have a wider range, almost as wide as ours.
In my opinion (men, correct me if I´m wrong), there are 3 big pillars: shoes, watch and tie. This are the 3 items that manage to print life to the suit. Most men prefer the old school (you can never go wrong with the old school!), however there are little trics that can add a twist to the classical look: for example, the plain black tie can be replaced for a bow tie -03- (her slim sister, so trendy right now). Another option is to revamp the watch wearing one with little details on the design -04-, while maintaining the elegance and traditional simplicity. Finally, to provide a different and original touch to the shoes, you can combine materials like suede and patent leather -06- (brightness and opacity)

Here I leave you some other male accessories that aren´t necessarily for a formal style, but they add a lot of style to the general look. Maybe they can be worn for a brunch or more relaxed party during the day.

I'm glad I'm female when it comes to dressing up, there's only so much a guy can do to funk up his look! But I like guys in glasses and scarves, very smart! =)
